The last date for online registration and submission of the application fee for the ISRO Scientist/Engineer 'SC' recruitment is 16-09-2026 (11:55 PM).
There are a total of 175 vacancies for Scientist/Engineer 'SC' posts across Electronics, Mechanical, and Computer Science disciplines in ISRO and PRL.
Selected candidates will be appointed in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix, with a minimum basic pay of ₹56,100/- per month. This includes Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance as per government rules.
The application fee is ₹250/-, and a processing fee of ₹750/- must be paid initially. The processing fee is fully refundable for women, SC/ST/PwBD, and Ex-servicemen candidates, and ₹500/- is refunded for other candidates, provided they appear in the written test/CBT.
The selection process consists of a Written Test/Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by an Interview. Candidates will be short-listed for the interview in a 1:5 ratio based on their performance in the written test.
The written test has two parts: Part A (Area/Discipline Specific) with 80 multiple-choice questions for 80 marks (90 minutes, 1/3rd negative marking) and Part B (Aptitude/Ability Tests) with a maximum of 15 multiple-choice questions for 20 marks (30 minutes, no negative marking). The total marks are 100.
Yes, age relaxation is applicable for serving Central Government civilian employees, Ex-servicemen, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) as per Government of India orders. The age limit is 28 years as on 16-09-2026.
The processing fee will be refunded only to candidates who appear in the written test/CBT. Full refund is given to women, SC/ST/PwBD, and Ex-servicemen. For other candidates, ₹500/- will be refunded after deducting the ₹250/- application fee. The refund will be credited to the bank account details provided in the application.
Applicants must upload a recent color passport-size photograph (100-200 KB, .jpg/.jpeg), signature (80-150 KB, .jpg/.jpeg), and a relevant certificate (SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-servicemen) if applicable for processing fee refund.
The Written Test/CBT will be conducted at 38 venues across India, including major cities like Agartala, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram.
