The Delhi High Court has announced a total of 150 vacancies. This includes 117 vacancies for Senior Personal Assistant and 33 vacancies for Personal Assistant.
Senior Personal Assistants will receive salary as per the 8th Level of the Pay-matrix of 7th CPC. Personal Assistants will be paid as per the 7th Level of the Pay-matrix of 7th CPC.
The commencement date for online applications is September 15, 2026 (11:00 hours). The last date for submission of online applications and fee payment is October 05, 2026 (23:00 hours). The correction window will be open from October 12, 2026 (11:00 hours) to October 14, 2026 (23:00 hours). Dates for downloading admit cards and examinations will be announced later.
General/OBC-NCL/EWS candidates must pay a non-refundable online fee of Rs. 1500/-. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD categories are required to pay Rs. 1300/-. Applicable transaction charges will be extra.
For Senior Personal Assistant, candidates must be a Graduate from a recognized University with a shorthand speed of not less than 110 w.p.m. (English) and typing speed of 40 w.p.m. (English) on Computer. For Personal Assistant, candidates must be a Graduate from a recognized University with a shorthand speed of not less than 100 w.p.m. (English) and typing speed of 40 w.p.m. (English) on Computer. Good working knowledge of Computer is essential for both posts. The age limit is 18 to 32 years as on January 01, 2026, with age relaxations for reserved categories.
The selection process involves four stages: Stage-I English Typing Test (Qualifying), Stage-II English Shorthand Tests, Stage-III Main (Descriptive) Examination, and Stage-IV Interview. Candidates must qualify in each stage to proceed to the next.
The Main (Descriptive) Examination is for 100 marks and 120 minutes. It consists of an Essay (40 Marks), Letter Writing (15 Marks), Grammar & Comprehension Passage (25 Marks), and Translation (Hindi to English - 10 Marks & English to Hindi - 10 Marks). The medium of examination will be English.
Yes, age relaxations are provided: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, 10 years for PwBD (General/EWS), 13 years for PwBD (OBC), and 15 years for PwBD (SC/ST). Ex-Servicemen also receive a 3-year relaxation after deducting military service.
