There are a total of 590 vacancies announced for various Paramedical Categories across all Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) under CEN 05/2026.
The online application opened on 15.09.2026, with the closing date for submission being 14.10.2026 (23:59 hours). The last date for application fee payment is 16.10.2026.
The application fee is ₹500/- for all candidates, with ₹400/- refundable upon appearing in the CBT. For SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minorities, and EBC candidates, the fee is ₹250/-, which is fully refundable upon appearing in the CBT.
The selection process involves a Computer Based Test (CBT), followed by Document Verification (DV), and a Medical Examination (ME).
The Single Stage CBT will consist of 100 objective multiple-choice questions for 100 marks, to be completed in 90 minutes. Subjects include Professional Ability (70 marks), General Awareness (10 marks), General Arithmetic, General Intelligence & Reasoning (10 marks), and General Science (10 marks).
The initial pay for selected candidates ranges from Rs. 21,700/- (Pay Level 3) to Rs. 44,900/- (Pay Level 7) per month as per the 7th Central Pay Commission.
Yes, there will be negative marking in the CBT. 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question will be deducted for every wrong answer.
Yes, candidates can modify their application details (except those filled in the 'Create an Account' form and the chosen RRB) during the modification window from 17.10.2026 to 26.10.2026, by paying a non-refundable modification fee of ₹250/- per occasion.
The minimum qualifying marks for the CBT are 40% for UR/EWS candidates, 30% for OBC(NCL) and SC candidates, and 25% for ST candidates. These percentages may be relaxed by 2 marks for PwBD candidates in case of a shortage.
