Applications must be submitted only in online mode at the new website of SSC Headquarter i.e. https://ssc.gov.in or through the my SSC mobile application (downloadable from Google Play Store).
Candidates who have not generated their One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new website (https://ssc.gov.in) will be required to do so, as the earlier OTR generated on the old website (https://ssc.nic.in) will not be functional.
Subsequent to OTR, candidates can proceed to fill the application for the examination.

Approximately 2536 tentative vacancies are announced for the SSC CHSL 2026. Final vacancies will be determined in due course and updated on the SSC website.
Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) are in Pay Level-2 (Rs. 19,900-63,200). Data Entry Operator (DEO) and DEO Grade 'A' are in Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100) and Level-5 (Rs. 29,200-92,300).
The selection process consists of a two-tier Computer Based Examination (Tier-I and Tier-II). Candidates qualifying these tiers will undergo Document Verification. For LDC posts in the Border Roads Organization (BRO), a Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Standards are also applicable.
Yes, there will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section-I, Section-II, and Section-III of the Tier-II examination.
The age limit for the posts is 18-27 years as on 01.08.2026. Candidates born not before 02.08.1999 and not later than 01.08.2008 are eligible. Age relaxations are provided for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and Central Government Civilian Employees as per government rules.
Yes, Section-III (Computer Knowledge Test) and Section-IV (Skill Test/Typing Test) of the Tier-II examination are mandatory but qualifying in nature. The final merit list will be prepared based on the aggregate marks scored in Section-I and Section-II of Tier-II, subject to qualifying in Section-III and Section-IV.
Candidates must apply online through the new SSC website (https://ssc.gov.in) or the 'my SSC' mobile application. A One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new portal is required before filling out the application form.
Candidates opting for LDC in the Border Roads Organization (BRO) must mandatorily pass a One Mile Run within 10 minutes. Detailed physical and medical standards are provided in Annexure-XVI of the official notification.
The 'Window for Application Form Correction' and online payment of Correction Charges for SSC CHSL 2026 will be available from 14.10.2026 to 16.10.2026 (23:00 Hours).
