JAM 2027 stands for Joint Admission Test for Masters, an entrance examination for admission to postgraduate programs. IIT Kharagpur is the Organizing Institute for JAM 2027.
The JAM 2027 examination will be held on 14th February 2027, in two sessions, as a Computer Based Test (CBT).
JAM 2027 scores will be used for admission to approximately 3000 seats in postgraduate programs at 23 IITs and over 2000 seats in other prestigious institutes like IISc, NITs, and IISERs, totaling over 5000 seats.
JAM 2027 is open to all nationals (Indian/Foreign) with no age restriction. Candidates are required to qualify in the relevant Test Paper and satisfy the Eligibility Requirements (ERs) and Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQs) of the respective academic program.
The JAM 2027 examination is a Computer Based Test (CBT) with 60 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The paper is divided into three sections: Section A (Multiple Choice Questions - MCQ with negative marking), Section B (Multiple Select Questions - MSQ with no negative marking), and Section C (Numerical Answer Type - NAT with no negative marking).
JAM 2027 will be conducted for seven Test Papers: Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS), and Physics (PH).
Yes, candidates may appear in ONE or TWO Test Paper(s) for JAM 2027.
