A total of 7500 vacancies have been announced for Police Constable (GD) posts. This includes 700 posts for Special Armed Force (SAF) and 6800 posts for General Duty (excluding SAF).
The pay scale for MP Police Constable (GD) is Rs. 19500-62000. During the probationary period, candidates will receive 70% of the minimum pay in the first year, 80% in the second year, and 90% in the third year, along with other government-approved allowances.
The selection process for MP Police Constable (GD) involves two main stages: an Online Examination conducted by the MP Employees Selection Board, followed by a Practical Test and Physical Efficiency Test conducted by the Police Department.
The application fee for the ESB exam is Rs. 500 for Unreserved candidates and Rs. 250 for MP Domicile SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates. An additional departmental fee of Rs. 200 (Unreserved) and Rs. 100 (Reserved) is also applicable. Portal charges of Rs. 60 (kiosk) or Rs. 20 (registered user) will be extra.
For Unreserved, Scheduled Caste, and Other Backward Class categories, candidates must have passed the 10th class under the 10+2 system or an equivalent examination. For Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates, an 8th class pass or equivalent examination is required.
The minimum age is 18 years. The maximum age is 33 years for MP Unreserved Male/EWS Male/Other State candidates. For MP Domicile Female candidates and MP Domicile Reserved Category Male candidates (SC/ST/OBC/Government Employees/Home Guard), the maximum age is 38 years. Age relaxation is also provided for Vikram Awardees and inter-caste marriage couples.
