A total of 175 vacancies have been announced for Scientist/Engineer 'SC' posts across Electronics (99+1), Mechanical (52+1), and Computer Science (21+1) disciplines.
Selected candidates will be appointed in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix, with a minimum basic pay of –.56,100/- per month. In addition, Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance will be provided as per existing rules.
The application fee is –250/- (non-refundable) for all posts. Additionally, all candidates must initially pay a processing fee of –750/-. The processing fee will be refunded in full for exempted categories (women, SC/ST/PwBD, Ex-servicemen) and –500/- for other candidates, provided they appear in the written test/CBT.
The selection process involves a Written Test/CBT followed by an Interview. The final panel will be generated based on 50% weightage to Written Test marks and 50% weightage to Interview marks.
The Written Test/CBT consists of two parts: Part A (Area/Discipline Specific) with 80 multiple-choice questions for 80 marks (90 minutes, -1/3 negative marking) and Part B (Aptitude/Ability Tests) with a maximum of 15 multiple-choice questions for 20 marks (30 minutes, no negative marking). The total marks for the exam are 100.
Yes, the age limit is 28 years as on September 16, 2026. Age relaxation is applicable for Serving Central Government civilian employees, Ex-servicemen, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities as per Government of India orders.
Candidates must possess a BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science Engineering with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10.
No TA will be paid for attending the Written Test. However, candidates attending the Interview will be reimbursed second-class train fare (to and fro) by the shortest route from the city indicated in their online application form to the interview location.
