The online registration for Bank of Baroda Local Bank Officer Recruitment 2026 starts from August 18, 2026. The last date for submission of applications and payment of fees is September 07, 2026.
Bank of Baroda has announced a total of 2482 vacancies for the Local Bank Officer (JMG/S-I) post across various states. These include both new and unfilled vacancies from previous recruitment exercises.
Candidates must be Indian citizens, hold a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution, and have a minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank as on August 01, 2026. The age limit is 21 to 30 years as on August 01, 2026, with age relaxations applicable for reserved categories.
The application fee is Rs. 850/- (inclusive of GST) plus payment gateway charges for General, EWS, and OBC candidates. For SC, ST, PWBD, ESM/DESM, and Women candidates, the fee is Rs. 175/- (inclusive of GST) plus payment gateway charges.
The selection process for the Local Bank Officer position includes an Online Test, a Language Proficiency Test (LPT) for candidates who haven't studied the local language in 10th/12th, and a Group Discussion (GD) and/or Personal Interview (PI). A Psychometric Test may also be conducted.
The online test consists of 120 questions for 120 marks, to be completed in 120 minutes. It includes sections on English Language (30Q/30M/30min - qualifying), Banking Knowledge (30Q/30M/30min), General/Economic Awareness (30Q/30M/30min), and Reasoning Ability & Quantitative Aptitude (30Q/30M/30min). There is a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
The pay scale for a Local Bank Officer (JMG/S-I) in Bank of Baroda is Rs. 48480 - 2000/7 - 62480 - 2340/2 - 67160 - 2680/7 - 85920. This means the basic pay starts at Rs. 48480 and can go up to Rs. 85920 with annual increments. Additional allowances and benefits are provided as per the Bank's policies.
Yes, candidates must be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in the local language of the State they are applying for. Those shortlisted in the Online Examination will need to qualify a Local Language Proficiency Test, unless they have a 10th or 12th standard marksheet/certificate evidencing having studied the specified local language as one of the subjects.
